‘Is Bigger Always Better?’ Contest Winners

We measured you up and found the best, not necessarily the biggest, entries. Thanks to everyone who commented for a chance to win the iPhone 6 Plus. We had a really hard time picking out the best member, but here are the winners.

Biggest & Best – Morgan with the “Bigger, yes, is often better” limerick. Congrats, you’re the winner of the new iPhone 6 Plus! Check out the winning post below:

Bigger, yes, is often better.

Bigger drinks get throats much wetter.

Bigger Sherpa’s orders sate

Desires that need bigger plates.

Bigger meats are often tender

(Pleasurable for either gender)

And satisfy where doth they go–

In holes above or down below.

A several-course meal can be gripping,

Leaving your date gorged and dripping.

A bigger chance now fast arises

To recommend some exercises.

Bigger meals make pants fit slimmer,

And though that leaves you feeling grimmer

There’s great news–and I’ll be brief–

Bigger sh**s yield big relief.

Yet smaller too can be a pleasure

Depending what you choose to measure.

But measurement’s an easy fix

With ruler apps on iPhone 6.

(And if name accuracy’s a must–

I meant “iPhone 6 f**kin’ plus.”)

We had some runner-ups as well, take a look:

Short & Simple – Mark with his “I’d rather Choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity” post.

Titilating & Teasing – Loges with the poem: “Ode to the 6”

Buyyala’s Big Night In Suzhou

Malaysian food isn’t talked about as much as it should be! We’re betting most people can pop a few Thai dish names right off the top of their heads without really thinking and everyone knows about Vietnamese Pho and Spring Rolls, but can you name any Malaysian dishes? Sherpa’s customer, Buyyala, learned all about Malay food, watched dancing shows, and enjoyed a fantastic night at MAJu’s Malaysian night by winning two tickets in our blog contest http://blog.sherpa.com.cn/?p=15838 . We’d like to thank her for sharing her photos of the night with us, and wish everyone else good luck in winning one of our future contests. We like to give things away on Facebook every Wednesday, hold Monday Instagram contests, as well as our big monthly blog contests, and smaller weekly contests. Keep your eyes peeled!

Help Name A New Kebab Restaurant Contest Results Are In

Thanks your help everyone! There were some quite excellent entries in the contest. We’re particularly fond of “Abra-Kebabra” and “Kebabylon”, but the Kebab Gods have spoken – the new restaurant will be called “Oh My Kebab!”, and Mathew is the winner! Congrats on the three free kebabs a day for a month.

On to even more good news, Oh My Kebab!’s soft opening starts today! They say their chicken kebabs are twice the size of the competition at only 39 RMB a pop and 1 kuai even goes to charity (BEAN).

From February 25th until March 2nd, you can enjoy a free kebab with any draft beer purchase. All they ask in return is that you give them some honest feedback, follow them on social media, share some photos, tag them, and help spread the kebab gospel.

They’ll have more promos coming in March. Salad bowls, rice boxes, cheese fries, hummus, and tzaziki are coming in March, and we’ll see lunch and delivery in April. Exciting times ahead!
