You don’t often stop to think about Sherpa’s as people, do you? The men in orange are just kinda… there. Who knows how they organize? They bring you food. You’re excited and happy. That’s all that matters… right? Well, kind of. There are people behind the scenes. They’re not often seen, but they’re there and this past week they were at the Kempinski Christmas fair in Suzhou to promote some bubbly wine and even give some away. Through one of our cleverly named contests, people could have walked away a few bubbles richer. All they had to do was guess the number of Christmas ornaments in a jar, and the closest person won some sparkling wine, or “Guess the baubles, win the bubbles.” We told you it was clever. There were three lucky winners and hundreds of lucky guests who tried the fine wine and walked away with a fresh new idea for their next order. All in all, we think we managed to increase the Christmas spirit (or least the Christmas buzz).
