Coming from the UK, Zizzi is one of the overseas brands taking a bite out of the competitive F&B scene of Shanghai with their first store at HKRI Taikoo Hui. In the UK, this restaurant group has over 160 restaurants in the UK and Ireland.

What exactly is Zizzi for the non-Brits? They are a British brand that have been serving Italian cuisine and some classic British dishes for the past 20 years.  Their signature pizza is 50cm long with toppings that range from the classic to the non-traditional. To ensure all pizzas are cooked correctly, they even moved their 210,000RMB pizza oven from Italy.

Popular among many celebrities, it is said that, after giving birth, Kate Middleton ate her first meal at Zizzi. Victoria Beckham is also considered a regular here. Zizzi is often listed as a must-visit place when traveling in the UK.

No meal is complete without light cocktails. Theirs is light and fruity, not too sweet or too synthetic (overly sugared).

Their prosecco infusions are spot on, providing the hint of fruity flavours that is good for the weather.

They also have a Happy Hour which provides a 2 for 1 discount on their infused prosecco (mango, redberry, elderflower, cherry blossom), as well as Aperol Spritz, Gin Granita, selected beers and wines from 5 to 7pm with some complimentary pass around pizza to share.

 

However, there is a lot more to try atZizzi. If you want more variety, they also have a menu that has distinctShanghainese elements such as, the Rustica Confit Duck and Roasted Plum Pizza.
