Legend has it that these tasty morsels were invented by Zhang Zhongjing, a Chinese medicine practioner who lived in the Eastern Han Dynasty sometime between 206 BC and 220 AD. A particularly cold and difficult winter led Zhongjing to place mutton, chili, and herbs inside dough and then steam them to bind everything together. These steaming hot treats helped people to overcome the cold while the herbs inside worked to improve blood circulation and prevent frostbite. The new creations were a hit and spread across the country and later on across the globe.

Our last dumpling party was a smashing success. We crafted two kinds of dumplings – one variety with pork & cabbage and another with shrimp & carrots. Participants said they were as good as, if not better than, restaurant dumplings! This is a family friendly event and we welcome everyone to join us.

We hope to see you there!
