It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating Spring Festival 2020, before the whole world soon came to a standstill; flights were grounded, trains were stationed, and cars were parked. As many countries continue to face strict domestic travel restrictions, China, for the most part, does not.

Although many of you might’ve been hoping for a beach holiday abroad, it seems like the more sensible option is to stay in the middle kingdom.

尽管许多人一直希望在国外度过假期，但似乎留在中国更为明智。

Still expect a Spring Festival travel rush but this time with a sea of masks covering the faces of migrators, as the risk of Covid-19 is still at the front of mind for many travellers. There will be tightened travel guidelines for many Chinese provinces and cities, so check what those guidelines are before making any concrete plans.
