Here at Sherpa’s we take burgers pretty seriously. Perhaps a bit too seriously, but then again if you’re going to commit to eating a burger then it might as well be a good one.
We’ve decided to share our burger wisdom by providing a guideline to making your burger experience everything you’ve dreamed of and more. Here are our tips for selecting a burger that reflects you and your tastes:
Let’s get down to brass tacks… Before you sink your teeth into those buns you’ve been craving all day, it’s important to define your target.
Do not be fooled – the burger game has evolved! Long over are the days of choosing between a cheeseburger and hamburger. You’ve got options, lots of ’em.
Not all burgers are created equally. Nowadays there are choices ranging from beef, chicken, fish and any vegetable creation imaginable. So, first order of business: pick your patty!
Great, that’s a huge step! Well done, you’ve narrowed down your patty but you’re not out of the woods just yet.
Toppings can make or break a burger. Do not take this part lightly. Nobody wants a dry burger that tastes like cardboard. Then again, a soggy burger can easily ruin your dining experience too.
Your burger should be dressed as well as you would be for a hot date. At this point you have to consider whether you’re going to push the buns to their limit and pile on the toppings,or just keep it simple.
Are you a veggie person who would prefer a full salad above your patty, or would a small piece of lettuce horrify you? These are the burning questions that you have to ask yourself.
Next up: sauces.
Your sauce game is crucial. For instance, a good shot of mayonnaise can add the right zing and texture. Ketchup is also a staple condiment but let’s not forget about the old faithful mustard. Maybe you’re bold and you’d like to spice your burger up with a spicy chipotle sauce or just some good old Tabasco. It’s important to strike a balance between flavour and texture. Too much sauce can be a huge mistake but not enough will leave you unsatisfied.
We’ve decided to leave cheese (the best part) for last. As with patties, you’re also spoiled for choice with cheeses. A bold cheddar might pair well with your classic beef burger whereas, a swiss cheese could do wonders for your chicken burger. Blue cheese is always worth considering but so is goat cheese. Make sure that if you’re going to add cheese to your burger masterpiece that it matches well with your toppings, sauces and of course your patty!
Whichever route you take, please remember to take your time and carefully consider your options! Sherpa’s is happy to provide you with a variety of burgers at a discounted price until the end of this week!
Remember, your burger says a lot about your personality. Never settle for less because life is too short to not fully enjoy a burger.
