That’s right; Nene is offering ‘activated vegetable charcoal’ as a dine-in option for their pizza crusts and burger buns. It’s supposed to be like a purifier for the body – a very fine powder that is able to chemically absorb a variety of particles and gases without being absorbed by the body, making it ideal to remove potentially toxic substances from the digestive tract. With the current winter AQI trend, we’d definitely rather eat our charcoal than breathe it in.
