Drink Up! Sherpa’s Now Has a Cocktail And It Is Gooood.

After thinking long and hard while sipping a few cocktails, the brain-team behind the awesome-ness that is Sherpa’s had a light bulb moment. Let’s have a cocktail of our own!

Through the natural order of remarkable ideas, we knew we had to team up with one of the greats to get this done, and done well, so we called upon Kaoru – head barman at el Ocho. Being a mixologist for over six years, currently working for one of Shanghai’s best cocktail bars, and having the added bonus of drinking in over 30 countries, we knew Kaoru was the man for the job.

Presented with a few choices, and of course the arduous task (yeah right) of sampling each of the specially-designed Sherpa’s cocktails, a decision was made and the ‘el Sherpa’ was born. Queue clouds parting and angels singing.

A twist on a classic Mai Tai, the el Sherpa is a fruity, rum cocktail that packs a punch. It will be on the el Ocho menu pretty soon for 88rmb, but you’ll be able to get your fill of the el Sherpa during the Golden Week when they have it for only 78rmb.

We’re trying to get the el Sherpa on cocktail lists all over town in the coming weeks and months, so keep an eye and a thirsty tongue on the lookout for your new favourite drink.

On another awesome note, Anna Maria Garcia, the amazing marketing guru of the el Willy restaurant group, tells us that el Ocho and Tomatito will be Sherpa-ready very soon, once they are fully-staffed… we’ll keep you posted on that.
