“Pizza Tirano” was launched in 2012 by Eva Shao. Eva used to work in a pizzeria in Italy. During that period, she learned the traditional pizza recipe. When she came back to China, she created her own brand focusing on Italian hand-made thin base pizza.

The first branch was opened in Zhangjiang area in 2012. This new kind of fashion food were popular quickly, especially among young people. In 2012, Pizza Tirano was rated as five stars in Dianping, and ranked No.1 in western food category in Zhangjing area. During this 11 years, Eva developed her brand and keeped high quality for food and satisfied service to the customers.Now, Pizza Tirano has three branches located in Pudong Area, which are all managed and operate by Eva.

Besides various traditional Italian hand-made pizza, you can also taste spaghetii, salad, panini, snacks, juice, etc.

15 Now Delivering: Find the Perfect Pita at Just Pocket!

Just Pocket is a new dining experience that brings a unique twist to sandwich culture in the heart of Shanghai. Inspired by the pita-centric cuisine of Tel Aviv, owner Lyn has created a menu that fuses different flavours and textures into each pocket sandwich.

Lyn grew up near Yanping Lu in Shanghai. She witnessed the growth and development of the city and watched as expats moved to Shanghai and brought with them influences and foods from around the world.

When she went to Tel Aviv, Israel on a business trip many years ago, she was impressed by the city’s all-encompassing temperament. One of the favorite foods of Israelis is made by using freshly baked pita bread as the base, which is then filled with fresh and delicious ingredients. Such meals are inseparable from their urban culture: casual, diverse, and full of creativity.

She immediately fell in love with this new way of eating “sandwiches”, and imagined how happy she would be sitting on the streets of Shanghai enjoying the fusion of the world in a freshly baked pita pocket.

Wanting to do things right, she researched and experimented with pita recipes thousands of times, and finally got the “secret recipe” personally taught by Israeli chef Eliran Gavriel, who accurately determined the ratio of high-quality stone-milled wheat flour, water and virgin olive oil, as well as the fine steps and time of fermentation. When baked by hand on a cast iron pan, the precise heat and duration, every detail determines the soft and crispy taste of the final pita.

Using this recipe, Just Pocket makes each pita bread by hand, freshly rolling and roasting them in-house. Lyn invited Duli’s R&D chef Brandon Chang, to craft the sandwiches. He cleverly integrated different flavours from across the globe into the menu. Every bite features different layers and delicious tastes that complement each other with ingredients and sauces. The result is a menu that is packed with flavor and texture, ensuring that every bite is a delicious surprise. You’ll find flavours from the Mediterranean, Mexico, Thailand, and and local Shanghai!

The team at Just Pocket aims to provide a high-quality dining experience that captures the essence of Shanghai’s unique blend of east and west cultures. The use of fresh, authentic ingredients and handmade pita bread adds to the authenticity of the experience.
